New Version of UberTwitter Coming Thursday

Author: Jessica

As we reported last week, UberTwitter updated to beta 4 to much excitement…and disappointment, as users found themselves looking at banner ads across the tops of their timelines and were less than enthused, despite multiple warnings from the UberTwitter staff. Now that that whole debacle has been cleared up, UberTwitter has announced via their Twitter account that they will be releasing an updated version of the app on Thursday that will be reinserting ads into the timeline once again. However, this time, they will be offering a paid version of the app that will eliminate ads (though there’s no word on if the paid version will have any other features added to it that the free version won’t have). Rumor has it, though, that the paid version will be on a yearly-subscription model.

Your thoughts? Is UberTwitter the type of Twitter app that you would be willing to pay to use? Sound off in the comments below!
