In the never-ending war of mobile internet radio, there’s no disputing that it’s a neck-and-neck race between Slacker and Pandora. With the recent update of Pandora, Slacker is racing to catch up with their newest version:

We are excited to announce to our beta users a new version of the Slacker BlackBerry Radio application.

This new version has been rewritten from scratch in many areas to reduce the size of the application and incorporate many of the latest changes to improve performance on the BlackBerry devices.

There’s no ETA on release at this point, but considering the rapid turn-around time from beta to release on 2.0, it shouldn’t be too much longer. Until then, feast your eyes on the screenshots under the jump to tide you over until it does hit the BlackBerry near you!
